AXN still No. 1 in Southeast Asia
I don’t know what’s with AXN but I find it a very easy to watch channel full of interesting shows. Ever since the beginning of CSI, I always find myself tuning to AXN and since then, I found a lot of interesting shows. AXN and Amazing Race Asia is the main reason why I can’t let go of Sky Cable.
As the year 2010 is coming to an end, AXN once again cements its position as Southeast Asia’s number one international channel, averaging 10.2 million viewers every month to take the top spot in results tabulated from January to October 2010.
In the ultra-competitive market of Philippines where all channels are offered on the basic tier, AXN leads in the English general entertainment category among cable 16+ audience. Yeah! Love those street magic and secrets of magicians shows.
I don’t know how AXN’s latest flagship show, the re-imagined Hawaiian Five-O, is doing here in the Philippines but for sure a lot of people tuned in for the finale of The Amazing Race Asia 4, including yours truly.
AXN reported that with the win of Team Philippines, this season’s TARA won in its timeslot among all international ad-supported channels, and saw an increase of 71% in average ratings over the previous season. Its season-to-date ratings is ahead of the next highest-rated English channel by a whopping 175%! Wow!
Yay! Keep it coming AXN!
